Job Title
Analog Circuit Design Engineer
Role Summary
Design and develop analog and mixed-signal circuits for advanced process nodes to support high-performance IPs. Work with architecture, layout, test, and SoC teams to validate designs and meet power, performance, area, timing, and yield targets.
This role focuses on hands-on circuit design, simulation, verification, and post-silicon debug in a cross-functional engineering environment.
Experience Level
Senior β expected 14+ years of relevant industry experience; leadership and independent ownership of complex analog design projects.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include design, verification, and optimization of analog circuits and collaboration across teams.
- Design and implement analog circuits for advanced process nodes, including high-speed IO and mixed-signal IPs.
- Create floorplans, extract chip parameters, and develop behavioral simulations to verify design intent.
- Develop and execute test plans; analyze measurement data and correlate results with simulations.
- Optimize circuits for power, performance, area, timing, leakage, signal integrity, and yield.
- Collaborate with architecture, layout, SoC, and post-silicon teams to resolve design and performance issues.
- Perform circuit trade-offs and drive design decisions to meet system requirements.
- Provide regular design status updates and technical documentation to cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; optional items noted as preferred.
- Expertise in designing high-speed IO circuits (SerDes, LPDDR, DDR, HBM): transmitter, receiver, clocking, PLL/DLL, power circuits.
- Strong analog circuit design skills: LDOs, TX/RX blocks, power circuits, ADCs, and associated topologies.
- Proficiency with circuit simulation tools and simulation methodologies.
- Solid fundamentals in CMOS design, RC circuits, high-speed circuit concepts, and layout principles.
- Hands-on experience with floor planning and static timing analysis.
- Experience with post-silicon debug and working with SoC teams to diagnose pre/post-silicon issues.
- Preferred: experience with signal and power integrity optimization, interconnect/channel modeling, and measurement-to-simulation correlation.
- Preferred: strong problem-solving skills, system-level modeling of analog circuits, and effective cross-team communication.
Education Requirements
Minimum: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related technical field) is specified; equivalent practical experience is acceptable. The posting also indicates a senior-level expectation (14+ years of experience).
