Analog Chip Test Engineer (New Graduate 2027)
Role Summary
Entry-level test engineer role within TI's semiconductor manufacturing and test organization in Chengdu. The engineer will develop and deploy test solutions to improve product yield, reduce cost, expand capacity and support product line operations.
Experience Level
Entry-level / New graduate (Class of 2027). Applicants from class of 2025β2026 with less than 24 months' work experience are also eligible.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include engineering development and cross-functional support for analog product test and production.
- Develop and qualify test programs and processes to meet product and line profitability goals (test development, cost reduction, capacity expansion, yield improvement).
- Execute engineering R&D activities assigned by the project team.
- Act as a primary contact for product-line operational interactions with supply chain, manufacturing, quality, customer service, sales/marketing, documentation and technical publications.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and R&D to resolve customer quality and application issues on the product line.
- Lead and facilitate cross-functional problem solving, coordinating with test engineers in other regions as required.
- Build and maintain relationships with wafer fabs and assembly/test partners to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and professional competencies.
- Strong understanding of electronics, circuit design and PCB/layout concepts.
- Proficient in C++ and Visual Basic programming.
- Hands-on familiarity with test equipment: voltage/current sources, digital multimeters, bench meters, oscilloscopes.
- Knowledge of semiconductor device physics.
- Systematic data-analysis skills for test and yield metrics.
- Good interpersonal communication and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Organized, action-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work.
- Proficient in spoken and written English.
- Creative, flexible thinker with initiative and a willingness to learn.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics or a related technical field. The position targets 2027 graduates; candidates from 2025β2026 with under 24 months' work experience are also acceptable.
