Job Title

Analog CAD Engineering Specialist (Analog design focus)

Role Summary

Provide CAD tools, automation and technical support to analog circuit implementation and layout teams building IP for automotive, mobile and data-center applications using advanced process nodes.

Work with internal design teams and Cadence tool developers to adapt, qualify and improve EDA tools and AI-assisted flows across schematic capture, simulation, layout, verification and analysis.

Responsibilities

Support analog design and layout teams across the full implementation flow and develop tools and methodologies that improve productivity and product quality.

  • Provide day-to-day CAD support for schematic capture, pre/post-layout simulation, and layout flows.
  • Develop automation and tooling to accelerate design, verification and physical analysis (EM/IR, thermal, reliability).
  • Collaborate with Cadence tool teams to qualify, customize and drive improvements in EDA tools and AI features.
  • Support high-speed interface and advanced node designs (FinFET, GAA) and 2.5D/3D IC flows.
  • Troubleshoot tool issues, reproduce customer workflows, and document best practices and design methodologies.
  • Train and assist design teams; provide clear customer-focused communication and presentations.

Must-have

  • Proven experience providing Analog CAD support for design and layout teams.
  • Strong understanding of analog circuit design and layout principles.
  • Effective communication, presentation and customer-support skills; ability to work on cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated, innovative and able to work autonomously.

Nice-to-have

  • Familiarity with Cadence tools (Composer Schematic, Virtuoso Layout, Pegasus, Quantus) and physical verification flows.
  • Experience with high-speed interfaces, advanced process nodes (FinFET, GAA) and 2.5D/3D IC verification.
  • Experience developing automation, scripts or AI-assisted tooling for EDA workflows.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (BSEE, MSEE) is cited; equivalent practical experience in Analog CAD and circuit/layout work is also commonly accepted.
