Analog and Mixed-Signal Layout Designer

Role Summary

This role involves designing advanced analog and mixed-signal layouts for semiconductor products. The selected candidate will work collaboratively within the IP Design Group, focused on developing high-performance silicon chips across the latest technology nodes.

Experience Level

Preferred minimum of 2 years’ experience in analog and mixed-signal CMOS circuit layout, suitable for mid-career professionals.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating to develop layouts for complex analog and mixed-signal designs in advanced technology nodes.
• Utilizing design tools like Custom Compiler for circuit layout creation and optimization.
• Implementing designs with verification tools such as ICV, Calibre, and Star-RCXT.
• Creating SERDES sub-circuit layouts and optimizing for signal integrity.
• Applying scripting techniques to automate layout processes.
• Ensuring designs to meet ESD constraints and enhance reliability.
• Refining layouts to minimize parasitic effects and improve performance.

Requirements

Must-have skills include:

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Nanotechnologies, or equivalent disciplines in Electronics.
• At least 2 years of experience in analog and mixed-signal CMOS circuit layout.
• Understanding of full custom analog layout tools and verification tools (ICV, Calibre, Star-RCXT).
• Preferred experience with scripting languages such as TCL and Python for automation purposes.

Education Requirements

BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or Nanotechnologies, or equivalent disciplines in Electronics.
