Job Title

Analog and Mixed Signal IC Designer

Role Summary

Design analog and mixed-signal circuits for LightXcelerate's optical interconnect products. Join the core IC team to develop key blocks from architecture through tapeout and silicon bring-up.

Work closely with photonics, packaging, and system teams to deliver high-speed CMOS ICs for AI infrastructure.

Experience Level

Mid-level. The posting does not specify a years-of-experience range; candidates should have demonstrated experience in analog and mixed-signal IC design.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include end-to-end design, verification, and support for high-speed analog/mixed-signal blocks.

  • Architect, design, and simulate laser drivers, TIAs, PLLs/CDRs, equalizers, clocking circuits, and high-speed interfaces.
  • Execute Cadence-based design flows (schematic, layout, simulations) and work with PDKs for advanced CMOS nodes.
  • Prepare designs for tapeout and participate in silicon bring-up and characterization.
  • Collaborate with photonics, packaging, and system engineering teams to meet performance and integration targets.
  • Document designs, create test plans, and debug silicon in lab environments.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and attributes followed by desirable additional experience.

  • Must-have: Strong analog and mixed-signal IC design experience.
  • Must-have: Proficiency with Cadence design and simulation flows (schematic, layout, Spectre/analog simulators).
  • Must-have: Experience with advanced CMOS process nodes and associated design constraints.
  • Must-have: Practical experience or demonstrated ability working on laser drivers, TIAs, PLL/CDR, equalization, clocking, or other high-speed blocks.
  • Must-have: Ability to support tapeout activities and participate in silicon bring-up and lab characterization.
  • Nice-to-have: Background in optical communications, SerDes, UCIe, PCIe, Ethernet, or AEC/AOC systems.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with packaging, photonics integration, or high-speed board-level validation.
  • Location: Able to work onsite in Stanford, CA.

Education Requirements

Not specified.
