AI Verification Engineering Intern
Role Summary
Work with verification engineers to develop AI-powered tools and agents that automate verification workflows, improve debugging efficiency, and accelerate verification execution for semiconductor projects.
The role sits with a verification team in Tianjin Teda and focuses on prototyping, integrating, and evaluating AI/LLM solutions within EDA and verification environments.
Experience Level
Entry-level intern position (student). Suitable for BS/MS students; internship duration ~2 quarters.
Responsibilities
Develop and integrate AI solutions that assist semiconductor verification tasks.
- Design and implement AI-powered verification assistants and engineering agents.
- Build automation flows for verification tasks and testbench generation.
- Apply RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) and AI agents to verification workflows.
- Develop tools for testplan analysis, coverage-gap identification, regression-result analysis, and debug assistance.
- Implement verification knowledge search, summarization, and related LLM workflows.
- Integrate AI solutions with existing EDA tools and verification environments.
- Collaborate with verification engineers to identify productivity bottlenecks and convert them into AI-assisted workflows.
- Evaluate and benchmark emerging AI technologies for semiconductor engineering use cases and present results to project teams.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and attributes for successful contribution.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Familiarity with machine learning, large language models, or generative AI technologies.
- Experience with software development and debugging.
- Strong problem-solving skills and clear communication.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a technical team.
- Comfort evaluating and benchmarking AI tools and integrating APIs.
Nice-to-have:
- Basic understanding of SoC design and verification, digital IC design, or semiconductor development processes.
Education Requirements
Enrollment as a BS or MS student in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related technical field is required (BS/MS student status specified).
