AI & GPU Acceleration Internship — PrimeTime Signoff

Role Summary

This internship works with the PrimeTime signoff team to prototype and evaluate GPU acceleration and AI/ML-based modeling for signoff timing. The role involves performance analysis, optimization of timing and noise computation flows, and validating accuracy and runtime improvements.

Program details: 40-week internship, hybrid in Hsinchu, Taiwan (X-Plan); part-time preferred; expected start July 2026.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Internship). Appropriate for current graduate students; this is an intern role rather than a full-time engineering hire.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include prototyping, analysis, and validation focused on improving signoff runtimes and scalability.

• Explore and prototype GPU acceleration and AI/ML-based modeling techniques for PrimeTime signoff timing.
• Analyze and optimize core timing and noise computation flows to identify performance bottlenecks and scalable solutions.
• Validate solution accuracy and measure impact on runtime and resource efficiency to support faster, more scalable design closure.
• Document experiments and present results to the signoff engineering team.

• Must-have: Knowledge of GPU computing and CUDA.
• Must-have: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze performance bottlenecks.
• Must-have: Ability to work hybrid on-site in Hsinchu, Taiwan; part-time schedule preferred.
• Nice-to-have: Interest or prior exposure to performance optimization, timing signoff flows, or AI/ML modeling for systems performance.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing a master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (master's student status required for the internship).
