Job Title

Agentic Automation and GPU Acceleration for Digital Implementation Intern

Role Summary

This internship supports development of agentic automation frameworks and GPU-accelerated solutions to improve digital implementation workflows (placement, routing, timing/PPA optimization) within EDA tools. The intern will implement algorithms, build AI-driven pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions into existing toolchains.

Program details: 8-week, in-office internship in Taipei (start July 2026). Full-time preferred.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Internship). Suitable for current undergraduate or master's students; no minimum professional experience required.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include research and implementation work to accelerate and automate digital implementation tasks.

  • Design and implement agentic automation frameworks and decision-making algorithms for digital implementation workflows.
  • Develop GPU-accelerated components to speed compute-intensive tasks such as placement, routing, and timing optimization.
  • Build AI-driven pipelines for automated constraint generation, PPA (Power, Performance, Area) optimization, and design-space exploration.
  • Integrate agentic AI capabilities with existing EDA tools and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Contribute to research initiatives and prototypes applying AI to electronic design automation and chip verification.
  • Document results, produce technical reports, and present findings to team members and stakeholders.

Requirements

Looking for candidates with practical skills in AI/ML and software development; degree requirement is listed under Education Requirements below.

  • Must-have: Strong foundation in artificial intelligence, machine learning, or deep learning concepts and frameworks.
  • Must-have: Programming proficiency in Python and/or C++ (or similar languages used in AI/ML development).
  • Must-have: Analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Must-have: Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Nice-to-have:

  • Understanding of digital design, hardware description languages (Verilog/VHDL), or semiconductor design principles.
  • Experience with GPU programming or parallel computing frameworks.
  • Interest in applying emerging AI technologies to semiconductor and EDA problems.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic Design Automation (EDA) or a closely related field (the posting specifies "currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in EDA").
