Agentic Automation and GPU Acceleration for Digital Implementation - Intern
Role Summary
On-site internship based in Hsinchu supporting research and engineering work to accelerate digital implementation flows using GPU acceleration and automation techniques. The intern will work with an engineering team to prototype, implement, and evaluate GPU-based solutions and automation tools integrated into EDA flows.
Experience Level
Entry-level (Intern). Suitable for current students or recent graduates with limited professional experience.
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities for this internship include:
- Prototype and implement GPU-accelerated algorithms and kernels for digital implementation tasks (e.g., placement, routing, optimization).
- Develop automation scripts and tool integrations to connect GPU components into digital design flows.
- Run performance benchmarks, analyze results, and optimize implementations for throughput and scalability.
- Write and maintain clear code and documentation; create test cases and validation suites.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineers (software, hardware, verification) to integrate and evaluate prototypes.
- Present findings and contribute to technical reports or demos.
Requirements
Minimum and preferred skills for successful candidates.
- Must-have: Programming experience in C/C++ and Python; familiarity with Linux development environments; solid problem-solving and debugging skills; ability to work on-site in Hsinchu.
- Should have experience with: GPU programming (CUDA or OpenCL) or a strong willingness to learn GPU toolchains quickly.
- Nice-to-have: Background or coursework in digital design/EDA concepts, RTL, algorithms for placement/routing, parallel algorithms, or prior GPU acceleration projects.
- Communication: Ability to document work clearly and collaborate in a team environment.
