Agentic AI Engineer — Scalable Design Solutions

Role Summary

Develop and implement agentic AI orchestration systems that enable autonomous decision-making, tool coordination, and human-in-the-loop oversight for semiconductor design and verification workflows. The role sits on a GenAI/AI engineering team and works closely with Web app developers, domain experts, and DevOps to integrate multi-agent workflows with EDA tools, databases, and engineering systems.

Experience Level

Senior — typically requires 5+ years of software engineering experience with significant exposure to agentic AI, multi-agent orchestration, and distributed system design.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include designing, building, and operating multi-agent orchestration and integration layers to automate semiconductor engineering workflows.

• Design and implement multi-agent orchestration systems (e.g., using LangGraph or custom frameworks) to coordinate GenAI applications across semiconductor workflows.
• Architect and implement Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, clients, and custom protocols for agent-to-agent (A2A) and agent-to-tool communication.
• Build standardized connector frameworks and abstraction layers for integration with EDA tools, databases, and engineering systems.
• Design agent architectures leveraging cloud foundation models (AWS Bedrock or similar) including intelligent routing, reasoning, and RAG systems.
• Implement state management, human-in-the-loop workflows, error recovery, monitoring, and cost optimization strategies.
• Collaborate with GenAI developers, domain experts, CAD engineers, DevOps, and IT using Agile practices.
• Deliver on OKRs and milestones and produce comprehensive technical documentation.
• Support Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and stay current with developments in agentic AI and multi-agent systems.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience, followed by preferred/optional qualifications.

• Must-have: 5+ years software engineering experience with expert Python skills.
• 2+ years building agentic AI systems and multi-agent orchestration.
• 1+ years working with MCP or similar protocols for agent communication.
• Deep practical experience with AI orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, CrewAI, LangChain).
• Experience integrating cloud foundation model services (AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, etc.).
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and state management.
• Proven ability to architect complex, multi-component systems and strong system design and problem-solving skills.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with workflow orchestration (Step Functions, Airflow, Temporal); background in semiconductor design or EDA tools; cloud and AI/ML certifications; contributions to open-source agent frameworks.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field is specified. Cloud and AI/ML certifications are listed as preferred.
