Acoustics Engineering Project Manager, Microphone

Role Summary

Drive development and qualification planning for microphone modules and acoustics technology. Oversee internal microphone and audio integration teams and coordinate cross-functional activity and external suppliers to deliver production-ready acoustic modules.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” 5+ years of project management experience.

Responsibilities

Manage project roadmaps, schedules, and status; identify and mitigate technical and schedule risks; coordinate engineering builds and vendor activities; communicate progress to stakeholders.

  • Manage technology roadmap, project definition, development schedules, and project status for new microphone technologies and modules.
  • Support microphone module development, close architecture and technical opens in early stages, and plan/man-age engineering builds with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
  • Identify technical or schedule risk areas and lead mitigation efforts across affected teams.
  • Drive day-to-day project activities, run reviews with engineering stakeholders, and report status to cross-functional partners.

Requirements

  • Must-have: 5+ years of project management experience.
  • Must-have: Experience shipping high-volume products or collaborating with manufacturing partners.
  • Must-have: Knowledge of technology and product development cycles and demonstrated ability to identify and manage risks.
  • Nice-to-have: Strong cross-functional coordination, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience managing rapid development cycles and working with international module or component design and manufacturing partners.
  • Nice-to-have: Technical familiarity with MEMS devices, ASIC development and qualification, semiconductor assembly, or advanced manufacturing.

Education Requirements

BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics is required.
