Account Technical Manager - 3DIC Packaging

Role Summary

The Account Technical Manager (ATM) leads technical strategy and field engagement for Siemens EDA's 3DIC advanced packaging portfolio within the assigned territory. The role partners with account management, field technical teams, product business units, and marketing to create and execute technical account plans, drive technical campaigns, and capture replacement and new-business opportunities.

The ATM is the primary technical lead for engineering teams designing advanced IC packages and heterogeneous systems, and provides field intelligence to influence product direction and roadmaps.

Experience Level

Senior β€” minimum 10 years of relevant technology or technical sales experience.

Responsibilities

Key duties include strategy, campaign management, customer engagement, and cross-functional alignment.

  • Develop account-by-account advanced packaging engagement strategies aligned to WW Sales and BU priorities, including plans to capture whitespace opportunities.
  • Define technical account engagement plans and campaigns; obtain account manager approval for strategies and plans.
  • Lead and manage sales campaigns for the Innovator3D IC and Calibre3D product lines (or equivalent tools).
  • Ensure campaigns include decision process, success criteria, committed usage, run-rate impact, and required technical resources.
  • Establish and maintain regular customer meetings with key stakeholders to support campaigns and closures.
  • Maintain engagement tracking for progress vs. plan across multiple accounts and report priorities and risks clearly.
  • Provide competitive analysis and field intelligence to product BUs to help shape product direction and roadmaps.
  • Work across account management, field technical teams, R&D, and Marketing to secure resources and drive campaigns to closure.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience (concise):

  • At least 10 years of experience in a related technology field or technical sales role.
  • Product, market, and industry expertise in advanced packaging technology.
  • Financial understanding to sell at a business level and quantify impact.
  • Strong negotiating, prospecting, and campaign-creation skills; ability to drive technical campaign closure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and professional customer presence.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a highly matrixed organization across account management, field technical resources, and BU R&D/Marketing teams.
  • Ability to collect, summarize, and communicate customer feedback and competitive threats.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Nice-to-have:

  • Direct experience with Innovator3D IC, Calibre3D, or comparable advanced packaging design and verification toolchains.
  • Previous field experience building technical campaigns and strategic partnerships with semiconductor packaging teams.

Education Requirements

BSEE degree (Electrical Engineering) or equivalent; equivalent practical experience accepted.
