Account Technical Executive

Role Summary

Technical Account Executive responsible for driving adoption and growth of Cadence products across assigned strategic accounts in Bangalore. The role combines technical presales leadership, account strategy, and cross-functional coordination to close complex, high-value deals.

Works with engineering, sales, R&D, and customer stakeholders to define platform strategies, run presales campaigns, and align Cadence solutions to customer roadmaps.

Experience Level

Senior β€” requires extensive industry experience (10+ years in EDA/semiconductor industry; 7+ years in presales roles).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on technical account leadership, presales campaign management, and revenue growth.

  • Manage and grow adoption of Cadence products within assigned accounts, including forecasting and deal support.
  • Define account platform strategy and create technically compelling customer engagements and demonstrations.
  • Identify and qualify customer technical and business challenges; design tool/IP configurations to address them.
  • Lead and coordinate technical sales engagements with AEs, R&D, and application engineering teams.
  • Plan and execute presales campaigns: set success criteria, run lab/POC activities, and track outcomes with customers and internal teams.
  • Provide clear technical priorities to engineering and coordinate cross-functional execution to meet campaign goals.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers to align roadmaps for long-term success.
  • Monitor competitor technologies and represent the company at industry forums and customer events.

Requirements

Must-have technical and professional capabilities for successful performance in this role.

  • Deep technical knowledge of EDA tools, systems solutions, and the semiconductor design/manufacturing ecosystem.
  • Good understanding of the silicon project lifecycle and how design teams operate from specification to production.
  • Proven ability to present to and influence senior technical and business management; track record in managing multimillion-dollar, complex sales campaigns.
  • Experience driving cross-functional teams and coordinating internal and external stakeholders during presales and deployment activities.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with engineering, sales, and finance at all levels.
  • Result-driven with experience managing priorities and meeting aggressive targets; working knowledge of Strategic Selling techniques.
  • Demonstrated success in presales roles and a history of exceeding sales quotas in complex accounts.

Education Requirements

BTech/BE/MS in Electronics, Electrical, VLSI, or Computer Engineering. MBA is a plus.
