Role Summary

The SoC Digital Engineer Intern will develop the digital portions of mixed-signal system-on-chip (SoC) designs used in mission-critical radio products. You will work with CMOS technologies on RTL design, verification, and silicon integration as part of the IC Engineering team in Plantation, FL.

This is a full-time, on-site internship (Monday–Friday) supporting digital design, lab validation, and cross-discipline integration with analog/RF engineers.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship suitable for current students; no specific years of prior industry experience required.

Responsibilities

Contribute to digital SoC development and verification; typical tasks include:

• Develop and implement RTL for FPGA/ASIC digital blocks.
• Support digital verification and validation, including testbench development and simulation.
• Participate in silicon bring-up and lab validation activities.
• Collaborate with analog/RF and system teams for SoC integration.
• Use scripting and tooling to support design flows and automation.
• Document design decisions, test results, and debug findings.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred skills for successful candidates:

• Must-have: Coursework or lab experience in digital FPGA or ASIC specification, design, verification, physical implementation, or silicon bring-up.
• Must-have: Hands-on RTL coding experience.
• Must-have: Coursework or lab experience with DSP hardware or DSP algorithms.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Cadence digital design tools.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with Verilog-A/Verilog-AMS, SystemVerilog, or UVM.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with scripting languages and shells (SKILL, Perl, Python, TCL, make, csh, bash).
• Nice-to-have: Silicon validation or lab instrumentation experience (LabVIEW or similar).

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing a BS or MS degree. Fields of study are not specified in the posting.
