The role partners with module engineering, equipment, quality, and cross-functional teams to support production, new technology transfer, and qualification activities.
Experience Level
Entry-level (minimum 2 years of relevant experience in semiconductor manufacturing, yield engineering, process engineering, or related electronics industries).
Responsibilities
Primary duties focus on data-driven yield improvement, root-cause analysis, and cross-functional problem resolution.
- Analyze inline/param/probe/DOE data to identify and prioritize yield detractors.
- Apply device physics, process knowledge, and statistical tools to troubleshoot yield issues.
- Collaborate with module engineering to diagnose process/tool-related yield variation and implement fixes.
- Lead or participate in cross-functional task forces for complex yield, defect, or integration problems.
- Perform root-cause analysis using FMEA, 8D, SPC, and other structured methodologies.
- Publish Pareto analyses and maintain dashboards for assigned product lines.
- Support new technology transfer, process baseline setup, and qualification activities.
- Partner with equipment, shift, and quality teams to address long-term defect or excursion issues.
- Conduct material, process, and equipment evaluations and recommend optimizations using AI-assisted tools.
- Ensure product performance meets design and reliability requirements and propose corrective actions.
Requirements
Must-have skills, experience, and behaviours for successful performance in this role.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, yield engineering, process engineering, or related electronics industries.
- Experience in memory process, device engineering, or product/design analysis.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with statistical or scripting tools (for example, JMP, Python, SQL).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving capability, and the ability to learn independently.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment and take strong ownership.
- Willingness to support weekend or holiday on-call duties when required.
