XR Chipset Project Engineer

Role Summary

The XR Chipset Project Engineer will serve as the overall engineering lead for an XR (VR/AR/MR) chipset. This role is responsible for guiding the chipset through all phases from concept to commercialization, ensuring effective collaboration across engineering teams to meet program goals and resolve engineering issues efficiently.

Experience Level

Senior level with at least 8 years of relevant experience in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the XR Chipset Project Engineer include:

  • Leading discussions with senior leaders to define large, complex XR chipset requirements.
  • Outlining project schedules, costs, requirements, and KPIs from concept to commercialization.
  • Overseeing project progress and ensuring adherence to deadlines and resource allocation.
  • Improving methodologies, tools, and processes in chipset development.
  • Organizing cross-functional teams to address engineering challenges.
  • Providing updates to stakeholders and managing customer expectations.
  • Writing and reviewing detailed technical documentation.

Requirements

Applicants should meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or higher degree with relevant experience.
  • 8+ years in semiconductor product development.
  • 5+ years in a technical leadership role.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
