The role of Machine Learning Performance Modeling Architect at Meta involves contributing to the development and optimization of machine learning workloads focused on custom hardware and software platforms. Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading power/performance modeling and analysis of machine learning software-hardware components and applications.
- Capturing machine learning workloads from applications and system usages.
- Supporting all phases of Silicon SoC development.
- Contributing to execution of silicon technology and machine learning roadmap.
- Collaborating across disciplines to build efficient solutions.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in IP/SoC/System performance modeling and workload analysis for low-power/high-performance accelerators.
- 8+ years of experience with programming languages (C/C++ and Python).
- Expertise in evaluating architectural tradeoffs in performance and power.
- Experience in debugging and resolving complex system issues.
Preferred qualifications include:
- MS in EE/CS or related areas.
- Experience with full-system performance simulators and analytical models.
- Knowledge of machine workload development in Pytorch or similar.
- Experience in thermal optimization for mobile devices.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and drive initiatives.
- Familiarity with ML hardware architectures and use cases.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required; MS preferred.
