Wet Etch Cleans Technical Manager
Role Summary
Senior technical individual contributor responsible for wet etch and cleans process development within Logic Technology Development (LTD) to enable advanced logic nodes and high-volume manufacturing (HVM). The role focuses on taking solutions from research and development through HVM deployment and establishing wet etch capability aligned with leading foundry practices.
Works across process development and equipment/process interaction areas, provides technical authority and cross-team collaboration, and may provide limited technical mentorship.
Experience Level
Senior — requires extensive industry experience. The posting specifies 15+ years of wet etch and cleans experience in semiconductor logic process development.
Responsibilities
The main responsibilities include leading wet etch and cleans development activities and delivering deployable HVM solutions.
- Own wet etch and cleans development across one or more areas: process development and equipment/process interactions.
- Lead development from R&D/pathfinding through HVM deployment.
- Drive innovation to support advanced logic nodes (14A, 10A and beyond).
- Serve as a technical authority, influencing direction using data and domain expertise.
- Collaborate with adjacent module and integration teams while maintaining ownership of wet etch deliverables.
- Mentor and guide engineers through technical leadership (not direct people management).
Requirements
Must-have technical experience and capabilities:
- Proven experience in a logic HVM foundry environment.
- Hands-on wet etch process development experience beyond fab sustaining.
- Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate technical ownership and impact.
- 15+ years of wet etch and cleans experience in semiconductor logic process development.
Preferred (nice-to-have):
- Prior roles in Technology Development, Pathfinding, or R&D.
- Experience transitioning solutions from R&D to HVM.
- Advanced-node experience (5nm and below; ideally 2nm and/or 1.6nm equivalents).
- Background at leading logic foundries.
Education Requirements
BS, MS, or PhD degree in a relevant technical field (for example: Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a closely related discipline).
