Role Summary

The Video Hardware Design Verification Lead will be responsible for overseeing the verification process of video codec hardware IP designs, ensuring high quality and timely delivery. This position involves managing a team of verification engineers and coordinating efforts between various technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive verification plans and testbenches for video processing hardware subsystems, focusing on decoding and encoding video formats such as JPEG, AVC, HEVC, VP9, and AV1.
  • Execute verification plans and debug simulation test cases to ensure proper functionality and compliance with hardware design requirements.
  • Lead the team in achieving complete verification coverage of all hardware aspects within the video IP design.
  • Utilize UVM and other verification methodologies to expand test environments suited for video codec applications.
  • Create and enhance video codec verification stimuli and checkers for thorough testing of hardware implementations.
  • Collaborate with hardware architects, firmware developers, and software teams to resolve video codec processing issues.
  • Automate verification tasks and contribute to the development of verification tools for video hardware.
  • Document verification plans, test results, and coverage reports comprehensively.
  • Incorporate AI techniques to enhance the verification processes.
  • Stay updated on verification methodologies and emerging technologies in video processing.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess robust knowledge of digital hardware design and experience in verification using SystemVerilog and UVM. Proficiency in debugging hardware and analyzing simulation results is essential. Familiarity with various video codecs and processing concepts is preferred.

Education Requirements

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering is required.
