Role Summary
Multiple verification engineering roles in Arm's Cambridge site focused on functional verification of silicon IP and subsystems. Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities for these verification roles include:
- Design, implement and maintain verification environments and testbenches (SystemVerilog, UVM).
- Plan and execute verification strategies to achieve coverage and quality targets.
- Develop and run simulation regressions; analyze results and track coverage closure.
- Apply formal verification and assertion-based techniques where applicable.
- Debug functional issues and triage RTL, testbench and toolchain problems.
- Automate verification flows and develop scripts/tools to improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with RTL designers, architects and system engineers; participate in design and review meetings.
- Contribute to verification methodology improvements and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
Core technical skills and experience expected:
Must-have:
- Practical experience in hardware verification using SystemVerilog and UVM.
- Hands-on experience with simulation and debug tools and coverage-driven verification.
- Scripting skills for automation (e.g., Python, Tcl, Shell).
- Strong problem-solving and RTL debug capabilities; ability to work in cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with formal verification, SVA or model checking tools.
- Background in CPU, SoC, media, or ML accelerator verification.
- Experience improving verification methodologies or mentoring/leading verification efforts.
