Job Title
Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Work on RTL verification for Arm IP and SoC components within a verification engineering team. The role focuses on developing and executing verification environments, improving verification quality, and finding and diagnosing functional issues in collaboration with design and architecture teams.
Teamwork and clear communication are required to close coverage and drive issues through to resolution across cross-functional groups.
Experience Level
Mid-level (Experienced Professional). Specific years of experience not specified in the source.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities typical for this verification role include:
- Design, implement and maintain verification environments and testbenches (SystemVerilog/UVM).
- Write directed and constrained-random tests, scoreboards, and functional coverage models.
- Run simulations, analyze failures, debug RTL and testbench issues, and produce actionable bug reports.
- Collaborate with RTL designers, architects and software teams to clarify intent and close coverage.
- Automate verification flows and regression runs; integrate tests into CI systems.
- Contribute to verification plans and review specifications for testability and clarity.
Requirements
Essential and desirable skills and tools inferred from the role:
-
Must-have: Experience with SystemVerilog and UVM-based verification; strong RTL understanding; experience debugging simulations and analyzing waveforms.
-
Must-have: Familiarity with commercial or open-source simulators and common verification flows.
-
Must-have: Scripting skills for automation (e.g., Python, Tcl, shell).
-
Nice-to-have: Experience with SoC-level verification, emulation, formal methods, or low-power verification techniques.
-
