Experience Level

Entry-level (internship). Intended for students in the final year of a master's program; no prior professional experience required.

Responsibilities

The intern will work with CMA and project teams to deploy, validate and support design and verification flows. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Deploy and support internal engineering tools and end-to-end flows for RTL design and verification.
  • Provide flow guidance to internal design teams, reproduce issues and propose workarounds or solutions.
  • Assist with integration and verification of front-end design and verification flows to meet project criteria.
  • Participate in benchmarking EDA tools, evaluating features and versions.
  • Build demonstrators and prototypes for new features and methodologies.
  • Support simulation, formal verification, power-aware simulation, gate-level simulation and design tooling (lint, CDC/RDC, SDC).
  • Collaborate with engineers across multiple design centres and document findings and procedures.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and logistical requirements for the internship.

  • Available for a 5–6 month internship starting in 2027 and able to work in France for the full duration (no visa sponsorship available).
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills; curious and willing to learn.
  • Proficiency with scripting and automation (Tcl, Python) and Unix/Linux environments.
  • High-level application programming skills in C++ or Java.
  • Fluent in oral and written English; good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Good communication skills and an enthusiastic team-player attitude.

Nice-to-have:

  • Familiarity with chip design life cycle, EDA tools and verification methodologies.
  • Additional scripting experience (Perl, Shell, TCL) in Linux/Unix.
  • Basic understanding of digital electronics.

Education Requirements

Enrolled in the final year of a Master's degree (BAC+5 or equivalent) or equivalent higher-education program in Computer Science, Information Science, Electronics and Communication, or a related technical field. Arm internships require an active higher-education enrollment and a French internship agreement (Convention de Stage) for placements in France.
