Job Title
Thin-Film Transistor and Analog Circuit Engineer
Role Summary
Design and simulate thin-film transistor (TFT) devices and analog circuits for microdisplay driver and measurement systems. Work with process, device, and system engineers to translate process parameters into realistic simulation inputs and improve device and circuit performance.
Experience Level
Mid-level β typically 3β7 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Contribute to device and circuit development for arrayed micro-LED displays through simulation, design, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Perform TCAD device simulations for TFTs and related devices.
- Develop and optimize analog and mixed-signal circuits using SPICE-level simulation.
- Translate process-team constraints into simulation inputs and assess the impact of process changes.
- Design circuits for driving and measuring arrayed micro-LEDs and iterate on design based on test results.
- Validate simulation results, identify discrepancies, and refine models and designs.
- Collaborate with fabrication and test teams to support device characterization and troubleshoot issues.
Requirements
Essential technical skills and workplace behaviors required for day-to-day success.
- Deep experience with TCAD device simulation and SPICE simulation tools.
- Strong understanding of analog circuit design and analysis.
- Experience working beyond traditional semiconductor nodes and adapting models accordingly.
- Self-motivated, quick learner, able to work independently and within a team, and able to handle shifting timelines and pressure.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with Silvaco simulation tools.
- Experience with power and measurement circuits.
- Experience with display pixel driving circuits.
- Hands-on experience in transistor and LED device fabrication and testing.
Education Requirements
Preferred: M.S. in Electrical Engineering. The posting also accepts equivalent practical experience (explicitly lists 5 years of relevant work experience as an alternative). Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering is listed as a bonus. Fields referenced: Electrical Engineering and closely related technical disciplines.
