Test Solutions Engineering Intern - Bachelor's Degree
Marvell TechnologyJob Title
Test Solutions Engineering Intern - Bachelor's Degree
Role Summary
Join the Test Solutions Engineering team to develop Automated Test Equipment (ATE) production test solutions for Marvell custom silicon, from early design bring-up through high-volume manufacturing readiness.
The role focuses on test architecture, ATE characterization, yield and reliability validation, failure root-cause analysis, and cross-functional work with design, DFT, operations, reliability, and customers.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Internship. Targeted at students currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree.
Responsibilities
Work on ATE test solution development and verification across the product lifecycle. Key responsibilities include:
- Design test architecture and lead ATE bring-up activities, including detailed test plans and experiment definitions.
- Perform data analysis to validate yield, performance, and reliability; refine test solutions based on results and customer feedback.
- Develop test screening methods that account for application conditions, IP capabilities, timing margins, and process specs while optimizing test time.
- Use DFT features to explore operating margins, characterize silicon variation, and drive failure root-cause analysis.
- Establish robust test margins and screening criteria to protect yields and improve product quality.
- Collaborate with design, DFT, operations, reliability teams and customers to define test strategy and ensure coverage, quality, and schedule alignment.
Requirements
Technical skills and attributes required or strongly preferred for successful performance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to drive root-cause analysis under ambiguity.
- Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python, Perl, or R) in a Linux environment for data analysis and test automation.
- Familiarity with ATE concepts, test architecture, and production test considerations.
- Understanding of Design for Test (DFT) principles and experience applying DFT data to failure analysis and margin definition.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate technical results to design teams and customers.
- Nice-to-have: experience applying AI/ML tools to accelerate data analysis, test optimization, or yield learning; prior ATE characterization or HVM readiness exposure.
Education Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
