Test & Maintenance Engineer (Fresh Graduate)
Role Summary
Set up product test flows, improve test strategies, and maintain test equipment to support production yield, capacity and stability. Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering (ME), Quality Assurance (QA) and technician teams in a hybrid manufacturing environment in Bayan Lepas.
Work involves troubleshooting test boards/testers, training technicians, and driving root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
Experience Level
Entry-level — fresh graduate (0–2 years).
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include:
- Set up new product test flows and refine test strategies for existing products to reduce test time and improve yield and capacity.
- Analyze customer failure samples with ME and QA and develop countermeasure programs to prevent recurrence.
- Troubleshoot and repair test boards and testers and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Ensure test station operation, performance, stability and robustness; develop and execute investigations into deviations and root causes.
- Train and support technician groups to maintain repair workflow and daily operations.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and behaviours:
- Understanding of semiconductor test processes, test flow setup, and methods to optimize test time.
- Ability to troubleshoot electronic test equipment and test boards.
- Capability to perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Effective communication and ability to train technicians and collaborate with ME and QA teams.
- Practical, hands-on approach in a production/test environment.
Nice-to-have: prior hands-on experience with production testers or automated test equipment.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics, Microelectronics or equivalent; fresh graduate entry-level. Equivalent practical experience considered.
