Job Title

Product Development Engineer

Role Summary

Join a manufacturing and product engineering team to support Intel's product roadmap by validating test programs, troubleshooting test hardware and software, and improving product testability and yield. The role works with global teams to enable production readiness and maintain product health indicators.

The position focuses on test program evaluation and debug, data analysis to drive yield and capacity improvements, and development of support software for test validation and diagnostics.

Experience Level

Entry or Early Career — approximately 1–3 years of relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include hands-on test program and test-hardware support, data-driven problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Evaluate and debug new test programs and related validation activities.
  • Investigate and resolve product manufacturability issues related to test hardware and software.
  • Perform data analysis and implement solutions to improve test coverage, yield, capacity, and product health metrics.
  • Develop and debug support software used for test program validation, data analysis, and root-cause debug.
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams and production sites to deploy fixes and validate results.
  • Document test failures, corrective actions, and handoff materials for manufacturing teams; support assigned production shifts.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of relevant industry experience in product or test engineering.
  • Strong problem-solving, technical, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Experience with data analysis and applying fixes to improve yield, coverage, or capacity.
  • Familiarity with test hardware and test program workflows in a manufacturing environment.
  • Nice-to-have: PERL and object-oriented programming experience.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Telecommunication, Automation and Control Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field.
