Test Equipment Engineer
Role Summary
Provide engineering ownership for production test equipment to ensure high uptime, qualification, and continuous improvement. Work with manufacturing, NPI, process, quality, and supplier teams to maintain and improve tester, handler, SLT, burn‑in, and motherboard systems.
Use data‑driven methods and AI tools to automate analysis, troubleshooting, and predictive maintenance.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include equipment reliability, qualification, and process/yield improvement:
- Own test equipment uptime, OEE, MTBF and MTTR; manage equipment lifecycle, upgrades, and obsolescence.
- Lead rapid recovery of tester, handler, SLT, burn‑in, and motherboard systems and support production escalations.
- Analyze recurring failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Lead installation, qualification, and release of new test equipment; execute IQ/OQ/PQ and validation activities.
- Generate qualification reports and maintain engineering documentation.
- Identify throughput bottlenecks and implement productivity and cycle‑time improvements.
- Optimize tester utilization and support yield improvement through equipment correlation and failure analysis.
- Collaborate with Process, NPI, Manufacturing, Quality, and Suppliers on equipment and process issues.
- Use data‑driven methods and predictive analytics to improve equipment performance.
- Leverage AI/AI Assistant technologies to automate analysis, troubleshooting, reporting, and knowledge management.
