Job Title

Test Engineer - HVDC

Role Summary

Develop and implement test and characterization solutions for highly integrated multi-rail power management devices. The role focuses on ATE test program and hardware development, silicon qualification and characterization, failure analysis, and transferring products to volume production within the product development/test organization in Dallas, TX.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include test development, silicon characterization, and supporting volume production.

  • Collaborate with design teams to understand specifications and define test strategy for new DC-DC converter products.
  • Generate test plans; develop ATE test and characterization programs and design ATE hardware interface boards.
  • Design and develop qualification hardware for silicon verification and bench correlation.
  • Debug silicon on ATE and bench; correlate results and support failure analysis tasks.
  • Perform statistical analysis of yield fallout; identify and fix yield issues; optimize test time.
  • Support product release to volume production and transfer test programs/hardware to manufacturing sites.
  • Drive robust, cost-effective test solutions and be accountable for product quality.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred skills condensed from the posting.

  • Must-have: 5+ years relevant experience in test or characterization of mixed-signal/analog ICs; experience with probe and final test development.
  • Must-have: Experience developing test programs and ATE hardware; familiarity with ATE systems (Teradyne Eagle or equivalent).
  • Must-have: Hands-on debugging and failure analysis experience; statistical/yield analysis skills.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with Teradyne Eagle specifically, iFlex, LTX, VLCT or similar analog testers.
  • Nice-to-have: Proficiency in C++, Python, or C#; LabVIEW and TestStand experience; revision control (Subversion, Git).
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with Spotfire, dataPower or other STDF-based data tools; familiarity with scopes, sourcemeters, power supplies, and electronic loads.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience transferring test programs/hardware to offshore manufacturing sites and working on yield improvement/test time reduction.
  • Other: Strong analytical, communication, teamwork, and time-management skills.

Education Requirements
