Test Engineer
Role Summary
Micron is hiring a Test Engineer to perform electrical and physical failure analysis (FA) on semiconductor devices, support customer returns and qualification failures, and drive reliability improvements.
The role is based at the MSB Singapore site and works with process owners, product teams, vendors, and cross-functional teams to implement FA techniques, reduce turnaround time, and improve product quality.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include performing failure analysis, developing FA methods, and reporting findings.
- Perform electrical and physical failure analysis for device anomalies, customer returns, and qualification failures.
- Use advanced FA tools: FIB/EDX, SEM, ion millers, CSAM, 2D/3D X-ray, Emmi systems, micro-prober, and bench testers.
- Analyze test-data failures using Bash/Python scripting in a Unix environment.
- Analyze electrical signatures and physical defects to determine failure mechanisms.
- Collaborate with process owners and product teams to drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop and implement new FA techniques to reduce turnaround time and improve accuracy.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and follow standardized FA workflows.
- Follow lab safety protocols and chemical handling guidelines; maintain +6S standards in the FA lab.
- Prepare detailed FA reports and maintain records for traceability; present findings to requestors, MRB, and multifunctional teams.
- Provide guidance to FA technicians, lead workload distribution, and coordinate with vendors on tool upgrades and capability improvements.
