Job Title

Test Development Engineer

Role Summary

Develop and release IC test solutions for new product introductions (NPI), covering both R&D/debugging and production test flows. Work within a cross-functional team supporting design, product, quality and reliability groups to enable ATE-based test, yield improvement, and test-time reduction.

Experience Level

Mid-level (Professional). Relevant test-development experience is preferred; fresh graduates are also welcome to apply. No specific years of experience specified.

Responsibilities

The role is responsible for designing test hardware and software, supporting ATE test characterization and production debug, and working on yield and test-cost improvements.

  • Design test hardware and PCBs using Altium (or similar CAD tools).
  • Develop and debug ATE test programs, including multi-site test programming and tester-platform work.
  • Perform DFT reviews with designers to optimize testability and test methods.
  • Generate ATE evaluation reports (yield, bin summaries, distribution analysis, temperature testing).
  • Support production test issue debugging, failure analysis (FA) using ATE data, and customer return investigations.
  • Drive test-time reduction and tester-platform conversions to lower test cost.
  • Support subcontractors and sustainment activities for low-yield or test-related issues.
  • Maintain routine monitoring of internal systems and manage special test equipment.

Requirements

Key technical and interpersonal requirements for successful performance in this role.

  • Strong programming skills in C/C++ or similar languages.
  • Experience with ATE test development, multi-site programming, and tester platforms.
  • Strong hardware circuit understanding and debugging skills.
  • Ability to use PCB design tools such as Altium, PADS or Protel.
  • Good English communication and general computer operation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive working attitude.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Relevant work experience is preferred; fresh graduates are welcome to apply. (No other degrees, fields, certifications, or equivalent-experience language were specified in the posting.)
