Technical Program Manager, Principal Engineer
Role Summary
Lead technical programs that drive adoption of digital design methodologies, AI practices, and EDA tool workflows across Interface IP R&D teams. Partner with engineering, product, and EDA technology experts to define scope, plan execution, and deliver measurable improvements in productivity and quality.
Experience Level
Senior β typically 10+ years in the semiconductor industry with demonstrated program leadership.
Responsibilities
Execute and operate cross-functional programs, maintain visibility into program health, and enable global adoption of new workflows and tools.
- Manage execution of multiple programs focused on digital design flows, AI methodology deployment, and operational improvements across Interface IP R&D teams.
- Partner with technical leaders, product teams, and EDA experts to define objectives, scope, and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain program plans, dashboards, metrics, and risk trackers to support data-driven decisions.
- Present program status, risks, and outcomes to senior and executive audiences, translating technical complexity into business impact.
- Run team operations including newsletters, internal websites, Jira tracking, and cross-functional coordination mechanisms.
- Work across global teams to identify workflow gaps, drive operational improvements, and enable adoption of best-in-class methodologies.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience.
- 10+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry with a strong foundation in digital design, verification, or EDA tooling.
- Proven experience as a Technical Program Manager leading complex, cross-functional semiconductor programs.
- Strong project and program management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities, build program plans, and drive execution to completion.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, including preparing and presenting to executive audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience building dashboards, tracking metrics, and using data to drive decisions.
- Understanding of artificial intelligence or machine learning methodologies and their application to semiconductor design flows.
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite, Unix, and Perforce.
- Nice-to-have: experience with digital front-end flows, Synopsys verification tools, Fusion Compiler, or PMP/other program-management certifications.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline. PMP or other program-management certifications are noted as a plus.
