Role Summary
Senior technical writer responsible for planning, creating, and maintaining user guides, reference material, and release notes for Synopsys design engineering products. The role partners with Applications and R&D engineers to convert complex product specifications into clear, usable documentation.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include producing and maintaining product documentation for engineering audiences and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure accuracy.
- Plan, organize, and author user guides, reference manuals, and release notes targeted at design engineers.
- Research source material (product specs, engineering input) and produce clear first drafts.
- Coordinate reviews and gather feedback from Applications and R&D engineers.
- Apply and maintain standard writing practices to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Produce deliverable softcopy formats for customers, partners, and support teams.
- Maintain and update documentation to align with new product releases and changes.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience to perform the role.
- Proven technical writing and editing skills with strong focus on clarity and accuracy.
- Experience using UNIX and FrameMaker.
- Good understanding of semiconductor technology and related EDA tools.
- Ability to research, organize, and synthesize technical content from multiple sources.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to collaborate with engineers and stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience creating documentation for software products and delivering materials to customers and support teams.
