Job Title

Technical Product Manager – Siemens HPCWorks

Role Summary

Delivery-focused Technical Product Manager for the Siemens HPCWorks product line. You will work with Development, QA, and Release Management to convert product direction and customer needs into epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and actionable tickets, own the product backlog, and drive sprint planning and release execution.

The role sits on the HPCWorks Product Management team and focuses on producing predictable, high-quality releases for internal and external customers.

Experience Level

Mid-level — typically 4–7 years of product management or technical experience.

Responsibilities

Key delivery and coordination responsibilities for product development and releases.

  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog; lead backlog refinement and align priorities across Product, Engineering, QA, and stakeholders.
  • Drive sprint planning and execution; partner with engineering and QA to clarify requirements and remove blockers.
  • Define release scope and success criteria; track progress to ensure features are complete, tested, documented, and ready to ship.
  • Create clear epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and actionable tickets; manage dependencies and handoffs.
  • Serve as a technical point of contact: support design reviews, reproduce issues, and participate in customer discussions as needed.
  • Coordinate with platform, DevOps, documentation, and support for environments, tooling, rollout, and post-release feedback.

Requirements

Core competencies, tools, and experience required for success in this role.

  • Must-have: 4–7 years in product management or a technical role with hands-on delivery responsibilities.
  • Proven experience working with engineering teams using Agile/Scrum: backlog refinement, sprint planning, and defining acceptance criteria.
  • Working knowledge of software delivery and SDLC, including defect triage, release planning, and test/validation coordination with QA.
  • Experience with Jira or similar tools to create/manage epics, stories, tasks, and bugs, and to track delivery status.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills with the ability to translate stakeholder input into clear requirements.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a track record of delivering user-centered products in technical environments.
  • Nice-to-have: experience with workload managers (Accelerator, PBS Professional, Grid Engine), hybrid on-prem/cloud EDA workload strategies, containers and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker, Singularity), and high-performance or distributed computing architectures.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
