Role Summary
The Technical Director, Physical Design, will lead the central physical design team at Marvell. This role focuses on shaping the vision for physical design capabilities, overseeing the execution of complex projects for next-generation high-performance processor chips, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Senior level with 15+ years of relevant experience in back-end physical design and team leadership.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities are as follows:
- Lead RTL-to-GDSII implementation for SoC programs.
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to physical design teams.
- Mentor engineering talent and oversee team performance.
- Drive collaboration with design teams to influence project execution.
- Manage project schedules, resources, and risks.
- Represent the physical design function in executive discussions.
- Collaborate with vendors for tool and technology evaluations.
Requirements
The following qualifications are required:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 15+ years of experience in back-end physical design.
- Deep expertise in physical design methodologies and process node challenges.
- Strong understanding of ASIC design flow and EDA tools.
- Proficient in automation and scripting languages like Tcl, Python, or Perl.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with AI/ML optimizations in physical design is a plus.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field is required.
