Technical Director

Role Overview

This position in Solutions Engineering focuses on developing advanced SoC/SiP (System-on-Chip / System-in-Package) solutions, primarily for markets such as Client, Infrastructure, IoT, and Automotive. The Technical Director will coordinate high-performance SoC development from concept through to product launch, necessitating deep technical expertise and collaborative skills across various teams and locations.

Experience Level

The ideal candidate must possess significant experience in hardware engineering, especially in the full ASIC development lifecycle, showcasing leadership in designing complex SoC architectures.

Primary Responsibilities

• Define product requirements and success criteria in collaboration with teams.
• Lead and align multi-functional teams across various technical domains.
• Act as the technical resource throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Assess engineering resources, propose timelines, and oversee program health.
• Manage the engineering change order process for feature improvement requests.
• Conduct capability assessments to inform technical developments.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with a solid foundation in computer architecture and product engineering, as well as firsthand experience with SoC design across multiple market areas.
