System Validation Engineer (m/f/d)

Role Summary

Design and execute system-level tests that validate interactions between hardware and software for high-end products (UWB, NFC, Secure Elements, Java Card). Work within a cross-functional validation team to build lab setups, develop test firmware and frameworks, and verify customer-facing system behavior.

Experience Level

Mid-level — recommended 3–5 years of experience in validation and testing.

Responsibilities

Responsible for creating and executing system tests and maintaining lab environments to validate full product behavior.

• Design and implement hardware setups and lab environments for system validation.
• Develop test framework features, system test cases, test firmware, and device drivers.
• Execute and automate system tests; reproduce and support debugging with hardware and software teams.
• Estimate effort for deliverables and contribute to risk-based test strategy decisions.
• Document and present test results clearly to stakeholders.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and work style.

• 3–5 years experience in validation/testing of complex systems (recommended).
• Hands-on embedded firmware development in C; experience with Java and Java Card development.
• Knowledge of C# and/or Python for test development and automation.
• Comfortable using lab equipment, measurement instruments, evaluation boards, and related hardware.
• Independent, proactive work style with strong problem-solving skills and curiosity.
• Effective English communication (written and spoken) to collaborate with peers and architects.
• Availability of at least 32 hours per week.
• Nice-to-have: domain experience with UWB, NFC, Secure Elements, or security-focused applications.
