System Engineer, MPP
Role Summary
Work on system-level evaluation, product definition, and customer-facing application support for analog/mixed-signal IC products. The role partners with design, product, test, packaging, marketing and sales teams to bring products to revenue and expand design wins.
Primary responsibilities include system evaluation, technical support, product ramp-up and contributing to product strategy and roadmaps.
Experience Level
Mid-level β approximately 5 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include:
- Define new products and develop business cases and product strategies to take products to RTM.
- Analyze end-equipment (automotive, industrial, consumer, computing) to identify trends and opportunities.
- Assess IC development tradeoffs with design teams and customers.
- Serve as technical lead for product ramp-up and customer engagements.
- Perform silicon system evaluation (hardware and software as needed) and produce related documentation.
- Provide application support and train central applications engineering and sales teams on products.
- Drive new design wins and support revenue growth through product adoption.
- Troubleshoot customer application issues using lab testing, schematic analysis and cross-functional coordination.
- Create technical collateral such as datasheets, application notes, user guides, EVMs, SPICE models and supporting materials.
- Contribute to short- and long-term product strategy and roadmap.

Key qualifications and skills.

Must-have: Minimum ~5 years relevant experience; strong understanding of analog/mixed-signal ICs and their applications.
- Experience promoting ICs and driving design wins by providing system-level solutions.
- Strong customer-facing and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with lab equipment and hands-on debugging.
- System-level circuit modeling using EDA tools, SPICE and MATLAB.

Nice-to-have: Experience establishing stakeholder relationships, strong written/verbal communication, rapid ramp-up on new systems, and proven time/project-management skills.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
