System Application Engineer
Role Summary
Support and expand China Business Unit system-level application capabilities for high-speed optical communications and robotics/automation. Act as a technical bridge between customers, internal product teams, and engineering to accelerate technology adoption and deliver system-level solutions.
Experience Level
Mid-level (3β5 years relevant industry experience).
Responsibilities
The role combines technology scouting, system-level application support, and direct customer engagement.
- Track and evaluate technologies, architectures, and trends in high-speed optical communications and robotics connectivity.
- Translate complex technical developments into actionable guidance for internal teams.
- Provide system-level application support for high-speed optical modules, TIAs, laser drivers, advanced packaging and targeted robotics interconnects.
- Interface directly with key customers to understand system requirements and roadmaps.
- Provide application insights, solution positioning, and system-level technical discussions to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Summarize customer feedback and drive alignment with internal teams for product and application development.
- Build and maintain long-term technical relationships with major accounts.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience; preferred items noted separately.
- 3β5 years of relevant experience in the IC industry; background as FAE or AE is preferred.
- Experience supporting high-speed or precision product applications (automotive, optical modules, robotics) is preferred.
- Strong self-learning ability and adaptability to new technologies and market directions.
- Comfortable with travel; role expects travel (approximately 10%).
- Ability to manage complex customer relationships professionally and with emotional intelligence.
- Good English communication skills for customer and cross-team interactions.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
