Summer Internship — Verification (Poland)

Role Summary

Three-month verification internship (July–September) in the BU Short-Range - Software Group based in Kraków. The intern will work on firmware stack verification for wireless protocols and applications, implement automated tests, maintain hardware test setups, and improve test tools and frameworks.

The role includes a dedicated mentor, collaboration with development teams, and exposure to modern AI-assisted tools to accelerate daily tasks.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Early-in-career). Internship role intended for students or candidates with limited professional experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include verification, test development, and hardware setup maintenance:

  • Design and execute tests for firmware stack protocols and applications (Matter, Thread, Zigbee, Bluetooth, SDK, application-level software).
  • Implement automated tests and scripts using Python.
  • Develop and enhance test tools and test frameworks.
  • Maintain and operate hardware test setups using Nordic development kits, including nRF54-series devices.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools and IDE integrations to improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with development teams and follow guidance from an assigned mentor.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred skills for successful candidates.

  • Must-have: Programming skills in Python.
  • Must-have: Experience with version control (git).
  • Must-have: Willingness to learn and work with embedded hardware and test setups.
  • Must-have: Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Must-have: Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
  • Nice-to-have: Knowledge of wireless protocols such as Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Thread.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with embedded C programming.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with open-source embedded projects.

Education Requirements
