Standard Cell P&R Engineer
Role Summary
The Standard Cell P&R Engineer will be part of the Foundry IP Development team in Bangalore, responsible for developing layouts for standard cell IP. This role involves collaboration with global engineering teams to ensure high-quality designs based on advanced process nodes.
Experience Level
Senior level, with 6 to 10 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities include:
- Develop product-grade Standard Cell IP covering PPA benchmarking and validation of physical abstract views.
- Run various stages of physical design flow to validate standard cell library physical abstract views using EDA tools.
- Validate pins accessibility and routability of standard cells in congestion-driven designs.
- Perform Calibre DRC & LVS checks and sign-off for library release.
- Conduct benchmarking runs on multiple designs to provide PPA projection and comparison reports.
- Collaborate with design and layout engineers for library architecture analysis and early PPA evaluation.
- Implement innovative solutions aligned with business needs.
- Sign off and release into dedicated IP validation test chips.
- Improve productivity and drive innovation within the team.
Requirements
The following qualifications are required:
- MS/M-Tech in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 10 years of experience, or PhD with 6 years of experience.
- Hands-on experience in standard cell library P&R validation.
- Experience with standard cell libraries for deep submicron, FinFET, and SOI process nodes.
- Proficient in EDA tools from Synopsys, Mentor, and Cadence for synthesis, P&R, and STA.
- Basic understanding of standard cell layout design and fabrication steps.
Education Requirements
MS/M-Tech in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a PhD in a related field is required.
