Role Summary

This position is for an experienced verification engineer to join the Arm Systems Media IP team, responsible for developing Image Signal Processors (ISPs), Display Processors, and Video codecs. The role includes specifying and developing hardware verification testbenches for future hardware IP and improving existing processes.

Responsibilities

The role includes responsibilities such as:

  • Verification ownership of unit level or multi-unit hierarchy.
  • Architecting verification IP and full verification environments.
  • Reviewing proposed design changes from verification complexity perspectives.
  • Data analysis from simulations using machine learning techniques.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements for hardware verification.
  • Collaboration with other engineering teams to ensure high-quality IP.
  • Mentoring and supporting team members.

Requirements

Must-have skills include:

  • Experience with constrained-random verification and creating complex verification environments.
  • Knowledge of SV-UVM and developing reusable code.
  • Strong scripting and software engineering skills.
  • Familiarity with testbench development tools.
  • Technical and/or team leadership experience required for more senior roles.

Nice to have:

  • Team leadership and mentoring experience.
  • Multiprocessing microarchitecture and bus protocol knowledge.
  • Experience in video codec, ISP, or display project verification.
  • Functional Safety product development experience.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration flows.
