Role Summary
Join the Arm Systems Media IP team to develop and own verification for Image Signal Processors (ISPs), display processors, and video codecs used in Arm compute subsystems. The role focuses on specifying and developing hardware verification testbenches, improving verification performance and quality, and advancing verification processes and methodologies.
Experience Level
Senior level. (No specific years-of-experience requirement stated.)
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include ownership and architecture of verification environments, improving verification efficiency, and mentoring engineers.
- Take verification ownership of unit-level or multi-unit hierarchies or act as verification lead for an overall IP (ISP, Display, Video).
- Architect verification IP and full verification environments.
- Review and assess proposed design changes for verification complexity.
- Analyze simulation data (including applying machine learning/data-science techniques) to improve bug discovery and debug efficiency.
- Identify and implement cross-team process and methodology improvements to advance verification efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with other engineering teams to ensure high-quality IP integration in systems.
- Mentor and support other team members.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience required for the role.
- Proven experience with constrained-random verification and ownership of a complex verification environment and testbench development.
- In-depth knowledge of SystemVerilog UVM and developing reusable, scalable verification code.
- Strong scripting skills to develop and support verification flows.
- Solid software engineering fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
