Job Title

Staff SRAM Design Engineer

Role Summary

Design and verify SRAM integrated circuits and develop SRAM compilers to meet performance, power, and scalability targets. Work on compiler QA, bitcell analysis, timing and power characterization, and post-silicon debug within a cross-functional international engineering team.

Experience Level

Senior β€” the role expects substantial experience; the posting specifies 3–7+ years of hands-on SRAM circuit design experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include design, verification, and delivery of SRAM IP and compilers.

  • Design and verify SRAM circuits to ensure robustness and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain SRAM compilers, including GDS and netlist tiling for performance and scalability.
  • Characterize timing, power, and other critical metrics for SRAM products.
  • Execute compiler quality-assurance processes and resolve issues.
  • Perform SRAM bitcell analysis and define design criteria for advanced memory products.
  • Use EDA tools for simulation, verification, and optimization (e.g., XA, HSPICE, Verilog, Starrc, EMIR).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address post-silicon debug and implement improvements.
  • Explore and integrate SP/2P/ROM variety designs into SRAM IP solutions.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; nice-to-have items noted.

  • Must-have: 3–7+ years of hands-on SRAM circuit design experience.
  • Must-have: Prior experience with CMOS block-level circuit design and SRAM architectures.
  • Must-have: Experience with SRAM bitcell analysis and SP/2P/ROM variety designs.
  • Must-have: Proficiency in digital circuit design and VLSI process concepts.
  • Must-have: Scripting experience (Python, Tcl/Tk, Perl, Unix shell) for automation and tooling.
  • Must-have: Experience using EDA tools for simulation and design (XA, HSPICE, Verilog, Starrc, EMIR).
  • Nice-to-have: Post-silicon debug experience.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience developing compiler QA processes and delivery pipelines.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field (explicitly required in the posting).
