Role Summary

The Solution Engineering division at Arm focuses on developing SoCs for various application segments. This position involves collaborating with a team to develop specifications, design, and verification of SoC systems. The role is based in Toronto, Canada, and requires working closely with other groups within Arm.

Experience Level

10+ years of experience in design of complex compute subsystems or SoCs.

Responsibilities

• Develop logic for high-performance compute and AI solutions.
• Review SoC architecture and develop design specifications.
• Create design micro-architecture specifications and develop RTL.
• Collaborate with the verification team on test plans and debug design issues.
• Analyze performance and power, contributing to enhancements of design methodologies.
• Mentor team members and support project activities.
• Work with Project Management on plans and schedules.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering.
• Experience in digital hardware design using Verilog HDL.
• Proficient in power and clock domain crossing and static design checks.
• Familiarity with stages of design from concept to support.
• Knowledge of synthesis, timing constraints, and power management.
• Experience with Perl, Python, or another scripting language.
• Leadership or mentoring experience.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.
