Role Summary
The Staff Silicon Design Engineer will primarily focus on the verification of new and existing features for AMD's graphics processor IP, ensuring a bug-free final design.
Experience Level
We are looking for candidates with experience in SOC verification, firmware debugging, and proficiency in both Linux and Windows environments.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with architects and engineers to define verification requirements.
- Creating test plan documentation based on feature interactions.
- Estimating time for test writing and environmental adjustments.
- Developing both directed and random verification tests.
- Debugging test failures and working with engineers to fix design defects.
- Reviewing functional and code coverage metrics for compliance and completeness.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proficiency in SOC verification and debugging firmware using simulation tools.
- Experience with Verilog, System Verilog, C, and C++.
- Knowledge of graphics pipeline processes.
- Familiarity with UVM concepts and environments.
- Experience in scripting languages like Perl, Ruby, or shell scripting.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Education Requirements
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering is required.
