Role Summary

Join Micron's Product Engineering team to develop and deploy advanced analytics, machine learning, and agentic AI solutions for NAND product engineering and manufacturing. The role focuses on improving yield, reliability, defectivity, and test time across the NAND product lifecycle from NPI to HVM.

You will collaborate with Product Engineering, Fab, Technology Development, Test, Quality, and Systems teams and help operationalize scalable AI solutions into production workflows while mentoring domain engineers in applied analytics.

Experience Level

Responsibilities

Deliver data-driven and AI-enabled solutions for NAND product engineering, and enable adoption of analytics across engineering teams.

• Develop, validate, and deploy predictive and diagnostic ML models for yield improvement, test-time reduction, reliability analysis, and qualification.
• Build end-to-end ML workflows using large-scale structured semiconductor data (wafer fab inline, probe, and test data) to support NPI and HVM decision-making.
• Perform data-driven root cause analysis for yield, reliability, and defectivity issues and support engineering investigations.
• Design and implement agentic AI solutions to automate engineering workflows (e.g., analysis, report generation, test program screening) and integrate agents with enterprise systems.
• Collaborate with Fab, Technology Development, Test, Quality, and Systems teams to drive data-backed technical decisions for product releases.
• Mentor and enable Citizen Data Scientists with structured learning paths, hands-on training, and technical guidance on ML projects.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and domain capabilities for the role.

• Strong proficiency in Python and data-processing libraries such as pandas and NumPy.
• Experience with scikit-learn and applying ML models to structured/tabular data (regression, tree-based models, gradient boosting).
• Ability to build, evaluate, and interpret ML models for engineering decision-making and to maintain production ML workflows.
• Experience integrating analytics solutions with engineering and enterprise systems.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills; ability to translate data insights into engineering actions.
• Preferred: experience with ML/DL frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), LLM/agentic AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain), and cloud ML platforms (Azure ML, AWS SageMaker).
• Preferred: prior experience in semiconductor/NAND manufacturing or product engineering.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering; Computer Science; or Data Science. The posting indicates approximately 3+ years of AI/ML work experience.
