Staff RF Silicon Validation Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for end-to-end validation of RF transceiver blocks to ensure system KPIs for connectivity products. Own validation readiness from tape-out through mass production, coordinate closely with design and architecture teams, and provide program updates to senior leadership.
Experience Level
Senior; typically 6–10 years of semiconductor validation (RF/system), product engineering, or silicon debug experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include planning and executing RF validation activities and delivering sign-off criteria.
- Plan and execute validation for transceiver blocks (PA, PPA, Mixer, LNA, ADC).
- Define test plans, coverage models, KPIs, and sign-off criteria.
- Develop and maintain automated test flows for bench and ATE environments.
- Perform ATE and bench correlation and ensure manufacturing readiness.
- Lead silicon bring-up, debug, and root-cause analysis with IP/design teams.
- Provide regular program updates and risk assessments to senior leadership.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- Proven experience measuring RF block-level parameters and relating them to system KPIs.
- Hands-on with lab equipment: spectrum analyzer, VNA, oscilloscope, RF signal generators.
- Experience with ATE systems, bench correlation, and test automation.
- Familiarity with silicon bring-up and debug tools (JTAG, logic analyzers, scopes).
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills; executive presence.
- Experience owning validation programs through tape-out and into production.
Nice-to-have: prior leadership of validation programs and experience with connectivity product families and mass-production qualification.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering or a related technical field as specified in the posting.
