Staff Product Engineer

Role Summary

Support production introduction and sustaining of analog/mixed-signal products by driving yield improvement, test-cost reduction, test-hardware releases, data analysis, and failure analysis. The role interfaces with Test, Design, Process, Quality, Applications, Marketing and PMO to ensure on-time productization at target cost and quality.

Primary focus areas include daily disposition of hold lots, OSAT/FAB data analysis, new product characterization and qualification, and cross-site process controls to reduce defects and improve customer satisfaction.

Experience Level

Senior level — minimum 8 years of hands-on product engineering experience in an analog/mixed-signal semiconductor environment.

Responsibilities

Accountabilities include day-to-day production support, NPI activities, and continuous improvement of test and yield processes.

• Review and disposition daily hold lots (WS/FT/EQC).
• Manage test hardware releases: tester, handler, loadboard, probe card.
• Analyze OSAT and FAB data and maintain the PAR database.
• Support characterization, qualification, and productization for new products.
• Support failure analysis during development and production phases.
• Drive wafer-sort and final-test yield enhancement and test-cost reduction.
• Monitor and implement proactive process controls across manufacturing sites.
• Plan and support Design of Experiments to improve specification conformance, reliability, and cost.
• Coordinate with Test, Design, Applications, Process, Quality, Marketing and PMO; generate sustaining PENG reports and support customer RMAs.
• Willingness to work weekends as required.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, domain experience, and personal attributes.

• Minimum 8 years hands-on product engineering experience in analog/mixed-signal semiconductor environments.
• Experience with PMICs, DC-DC converters, ADCs/DACs, wireless power receivers, LED drivers, and automotive devices.
• Hands-on experience with ATE platforms such as Teradyne, ASL1K, ETS, Advantest and with bench test equipment.
• Proficiency in statistical data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., Spotfire, Quickedit, PDF tools).
• Proven track record of on-time New Product Introduction at target cost and quality.
• Demonstrated results in yield enhancement, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.
• Team player with a self-driven, can-do attitude.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Science Engineering discipline.
