Staff NAND Reliability Product Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for defining, evaluating, and safeguarding the extrinsic and intrinsic reliability of Micron's NAND Flash products at Fab 10N/X in Singapore. The role requires hands-on large-scale data analysis, electrical failure analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to prevent reliability escapes and enable product shipments.

This position provides technical ownership at the intersection of device physics, circuits, process technology, and product engineering, and works closely with fab, technology, design, product development, system development, and quality/reliability teams.

Experience Level

Senior (Staff) level.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include test development, data analysis, failure analysis, countermeasure development, and cross-functional technical leadership.

• Define and implement NAND Flash reliability test flows to assess extrinsic and intrinsic reliability.
• Perform high-volume statistical data analysis to evaluate DPM and intrinsic reliability risks and trends.
• Drive electrical failure analysis and advanced characterization to identify root causes and solution spaces.
• Develop and qualify short-term countermeasures, targeted stresses, and screens to improve product reliability.
• Qualify products with control measures to achieve industry-leading DPM and cell reliability.
• Collaborate with fab, NAND technology, design, product development, system development, and quality teams to enable high-quality shipments.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency and quality, following organizational standards and legal requirements.
• Support customer inquiries and provide technical insights related to product reliability.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive strategic initiatives to enhance the reliability program.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for successful performance in this role.

• Experience in semiconductor reliability, NAND technology, and electrical failure analysis.
• Background in NAND design, device physics, circuits, process, test, and validation.
• Strong statistical analysis and data-handling skills; experience with data analysis tools such as Python, JMP, or Tableau.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and mentor junior engineers.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; able to present technical findings clearly to stakeholders.
• Familiarity using AI-enabled tools responsibly for research, analysis, and operational tasks.
• Team player, self-driven, and committed to continuous improvement.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree with >7 years, Master's degree with >5 years, or PhD with >2 years of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
