Staff Manufacturing Engineer

Role Summary

Lead resolution of complex test-manufacturing issues across external OSAT sites and support transitions from NPI to high-volume manufacturing. Drive continuous improvement to optimize yield, quality, cost, and productivity and implement departmental and supplier-facing goals.

Responsibilities

Accountable for technical and process leadership of Test manufacturing activities and supplier interactions.

• Manage NPI to HVM transitions and sustainment to prevent test operations delays.
• Support HVM operations to meet performance metrics such as yield, UPH, and OEE.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation to maximize equipment utilization and manufacturing efficiency.
• Own problem resolution for Test and Post-Test quality incursions, including root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Serve as technical representative during supplier and customer audits.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience; good-to-have items listed below.

• Strong knowledge of Test manufacturing operations and process control.
• Experience with IC test systems and equipment (ATE, test sockets, DUT boards, probe cards, probers, handlers) and debugging.
• Proven problem-solving ability using methods such as 8D and Why-Why analysis.
• Supplier management, cross-functional teamwork, and good interpersonal skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Good to have:

• Basic programming knowledge on platforms such as Teradyne Flex, Advantest V93K, Teradyne J750, ASL1K, V50, or similar.
• Statistical and data analysis skills.
